Harmonic currents, generated by non-linear electronic loads, produce “penalty losses” in every element of an electrical distribution system. These losses increase the system’s total losses and decrease its efficiency. A reduction in efficiency is directly proportional to an increase in power costs. Our custom-designed transformers are engineered to mitigate these wasteful harmonics. Rather than offering off-the-shelf units that may or may not fit a customer’s specific needs, we prefer to consult with the customer, builder, or electrical system designer to determine what is needed, then build and install the equipment to perform as required.
